Swedish Renewable Energies Association is a non-profit and politically independent association which is aimed at everyone, both individuals and businesses, who are interested in renewable energy and energy efficiency. SERO's members are environmentally conscious people who wants to take responsibility for, and change their part, of Sweden's energy use and promote an effective and sustainable system.
Today, most important decisions, including the current environment, climate and energy issues, is decided by EU.
SERO's role is to monitor, obtain information and influence.
Forum for political work and influence is mainly EREF - European Renewable Energies Federation, the umbrella organization EREC - European Renewable Energy Council includes ESHA - European Small Hydropower Association, the European equivalent of the Swedish Hydropower Association and The EWEA-European Wind Energy Association, the European equivalent of the Swedish Wind Power Association.
